Ski & Snowboard school
Appi Ski & Snowboard School offers lessons with the motto “New, Fun, and Scientific” in response to the evolution and diversification of equipment and changes in the environment with the times. You will improve immediately with good snow quality in Appi Kogen Ski Resort. *Reservation required. Due to the limited number of Chinese / English-speaking instructors, we may not always be able to offer lessons in Chinese / English.

Booking

Booking for a private lesson（select an instructor）is only on the e-mail. Online booking is not accepted.

For your safety
- Skiing and snowboarding are fun sports that promote physical and mental health and allow you to enjoy in nature. However, when visibility or snow quality is not good, when you lose concentration due to tiredness or carelessness, or when the slopes are crowded, there is a possibility of falling or colliding with other skiers, boarders, or objects. Please understand in advance that there are inherent risks.
- Selecting equipment that matches your goals, physical strength, and experience is not only essential for improving your technique, but is also for a fun, comfortable, and safe lesson. Rental equipment is also available in the ski resort, so if you have any questions about equipment, please feel free to ask the rental or school staff.
- In order to reduce the risks associated with snow sports in nature and to prevent accidents, please get enough sleep and try to ski in the good condition. If you are not feeling well, you may refuse to participate.
- We strongly recommend that you wear a helmet, which is considered an essential item to prevent serious accidents.
- Warm-up and cool-down exercises, which are very effective as a means of preventing injuries, will be done during the lesson under the guidance of the staff, but we recommend that you keep in mind to do them yourself.
- Injury insurance is included in each lesson, but we strongly recommend that you take out accident insurance that provides sufficient compensation in advance.
- Except for private lessons, each lesson is held as a group with multiple participants. To proceed with the lesson smoothly and prevent danger, please follow the instructions of the instructor, the meeting time, run order, etc.
- Instructors will do their best to make each lesson safe, fun and meaningful for you, but please also follow the general etiquette and rules at the ski resort, so that you can spend a fulfilling time. Thank you for your cooperation.
- We will comply with the guidelines set by the ski resort regarding lift rides.

Magic Lesson ski lesson program for everyone to enjoy and learn!
Magic lesson is for children who have never skied before or have tried once but can’t ski by themselves.
Skis for Practice
These skis make specially for lessons. You can choose from the skis with 68cm, 78cm, 88cm and 108cm depend on your heights.
Indoor Man-Made Ski Slope Mat
This mat reduces the fear of falling, so children can practice in a better condition.
Outdoor Ski Slope for Practice
We have a ski slope and a ski escalator for real snow skiing debut, so they can promise safety and convenience.
Improve Fast with Magic Instruments
Instruments made to enhance the power of stretching, bending, and hitting will help children to become a better skier!
Features
The instruments at the indoor studio or outdoor ski slope are like toys to grab children’s attention. The toy are full of secrets which allow children to learn correct postures and edging.
Lesson Flow
Lesson has the first part, training indoor, and the second part, training outdoor.
Once we do warm-up exercises, let’s go outside with the skis♪
Children can get used to skis by walking around the area.
Then, let’s practice on the friction mat! The instruments will attract and motivate children.
In the second part, children can finally ski out-side using the same instruments to assure their safety.
The snow escalator can help you go up without any stress!

- What to bring: face mask, snow wear, goggles, knit hat, gloves and long socks.
*Goggles: Required in all weather to protect your eyes from UV rays and snow.
*Ski, snowboard, and helmet for the lesson are provided.
- Please get dressed in your ski wear when you come to the lesson.
- Please have a hat without any accessory in case it doesn’t fit in your helmet.
- Please wear comfortable and quick-drying underwear.
- Please wear long socks to prevent any damage caused by friction inside the ski boots.
- Neck warmer（useful for cold weather around the neck）.
- If your child still wears a diaper, please make sure to bring enough of them.
- If you are a repeater to the lesson, please show us the lesson card before the class begins.
