ANA Intercontinental Appi Kogen Resort
ANA InterContinental Appi Kogen Resort- the first 5-star luxury resort in Tohoku,Japan. Set upon stunning snowscapes, renowned by locals as ‘miracle silky snow’, Appi Kogen is the largest-scale ski resort in Japan’s northeastern Tohoku region. Guests will immerse in the rich beauty of Appi and the nearby Hachimantai region, offering picturesque snowscapes in winter and lush greenery and white birch forests in the summer.
Guest rooms
The resort offers 7 types, 38 rooms and suites. The memorable design features include Japanese traditional paper – called Washi – used to adorn the bedheads to represent the pillowy elements of cloud or snow, as well as large floor rugs with various designs to represent clouds, morning glow and the dragon eye motif. Inside the guest bathrooms, rock and white wood evoke a sense of tranquil nature, while large bathroom windows overlook the ski slopes, giving guests the sense of soaking in an outdoor hot spring.
PRESIDENTIAL SUITE
The Presidential Suite offers the height of luxury, covering more than 300 square metres. The suite is duplex type, and includes a living room that is 5 meters in height from the floor to ceiling, a hinoki cypress bath, a private viewing terrace, and a private elevator.
APPI SUITE
The Appi Suite is a spacious and stylish room, that includes 3 queen beds, a dining room, a hinoki cypress bath, and a living space.

About ski lift pass issue
Ski lift pass for hotel guests is issued at the ticket counter in Appi Resort Center from this season.Please receive “ski lift pass exchange ticket” at the hotel reception, then fill in your name and room number, and exchange it for ski lift pass at the ticket counter in Appi Resort Center.
Deposit system
From the 2022-2023 season, from the point of SDGs, Appi Kogen Ski Resort introduce a deposit system. As a card security deposit, 500 JPY is charged when purchasing or exchanging a lift pass. 500 JPY is refunded when the lift ticket is returned. Payment: cash, credit card, transport IC card (eg. Suica), e-money (eg. Pay Pay) Appi Kogen Ski Resort supports SDGs.

As relaxation facilities in ANA InterContinental Appi Kogen resort, Japanese bar MOCCO which has been designed to evoke a secret hideaway, the terrace on the rooftop where guests will view the landscape of Appi/Hachimantai, the traditional onsen Japanese baths -the IWA and HINOKI- which baths are made from rock and cypress, the luxury spa THE SPA by HARNN, and the fitness gym which is open for 24 hours.
